New Year... New Look!

Posted by Webmaster on January 2, 2012

Happy New Year to all!  The Brain Injury Association of Delaware is excited to present to you a multitude of changes!  The first and most obvious is our new website.  Please take your time to look around and discover all the brilliant new changes we have made.  If you discover any problems, or have any general comments, please feel free to either post in the comment section below, or contact our in-office webmaster by clicking here.  We would also like to welcome to the Board of Directors one new addition, and say goodbye to another long time member.

Ms. Marilyn "Rusty" Sheridan, mother of an individual with a brain injury, and Board Director since 1995, has stepped down from her position on the Board of Directors.  Though she will will continue to participate on the Advisory Board and as our Administrative Assistant, we thank her for her hard work and dedication throughout the years.

As one Director retires, another has stepped up to help our cause.  Alexandra Scarpa, also a mother of an individual with a brain injury, is an extremely motivated volunteer with a passion for BIAD's success.  Coupled with her past experience in the armed forces, she will offer a unique perspective to the Board.

The new year also brings newly elected officers:

Elisabeth “Lisa” Furber has served on BIAD’s Board of Directors for the past year and a half. Ms. Furber works as a paralegal for the Community Legal Aid Society of Delaware (DECLASI) and serves on multiple statewide committees, including Delaware’s Rehabilitation Council.
